About Us
Hi we’re David and Becca.
We live in Pennsylvania and have been married for nearly 25 years. Along the way we’ve built careers, raised two sons, weathered challenges, celebrated victories, and learned something important: many of life’s most meaningful experiences don’t happen by accident.
Long Arc Life grew out of a simple question.
As our twenty-fifth anniversary approached, we created a Family Story Wall—a staircase gallery of twenty-five photos representing twenty-five years of marriage, milestones, adventures, and everyday moments. Looking at those pictures, I found myself wondering what the next twenty-five years might look like.
What stories had yet to be written?
That question became the spark for what eventually became our Epic Travel Plan: a long-term vision to intentionally pursue meaningful adventures, one year, one destination, and one chapter at a time. Months of research, planning, dreaming, and preparation followed, transforming a simple idea into something much bigger.
For years, travel was something we enjoyed whenever we could fit it into busy schedules and everyday responsibilities. Eventually, we began to think differently. Instead of treating meaningful experiences as something to squeeze into the margins of life, we decided to make them a priority.
This website is where we share those experiences.
You’ll find travel stories, reflections, lessons learned, practical planning insights, and moments that remind us why experiences matter. Some posts will focus on distant places and unforgettable adventures. Others will explore family, faith, perspective, and the lessons we learn along the way.
Our two sons, James and Brock, are an important part of many of these journeys. While Long Arc Life is primarily our story, it is also a record of a season when our family still has the opportunity to experience much of the world together—a gift we do not take for granted.
The name Long Arc Life reflects what we believe: a meaningful life is built over decades, not days. Difficulties shape us. Perseverance matters. Character is forged over time. The choices we make today become the stories we tell tomorrow.
We want to live intentionally, pursue what matters most, and encourage others to do the same.
